Question about voting patterns on American Idol

OK, so I've never actually voted, but I do watch the show pretty regularly. I'm curious about voting patterns. Do you think that people pick a favorite and then vote for that person each week no matter how well they do (like dead wife guy) or do they vote for the person who was best that one week (Anoop!) The results on dialidol vary enough so that I don't think the first way holds true, but the second way seems a little too random. Any ideas? (especially from STers with teen girls who probably cast most of the votes)

I think they vote predominantly on the current week, with the far and away favorites keeping their steady fans as long as Simon doesnt say they tanked -- nm - Gwaahjo Mar 18, 08:55
