My wife works for them. We can get some free care there, but they don't have the imaging tech or surgical facilities.

We are very fortunate that this isn't putting any real strain on our finances, but it is a cost I could have lived without.
We've got two other animals that also tried to break our budget, but seem to have stabilized and only need medication, at this point. So hopefully Meeka will recover quickly and not need much ongoing treatment.
