better than even the Swordsman because of the defense.

One thing I noticed you guys talking about, I think, was losing units to undefended towns. If the town has any sort of wall defense, even a level 10, you will lose Slingers I think to the Wall.

Ditto the Swordsman, which is more rare of an event but happens. Phalanx can walk into an undefended town, most of the time, unmolested.
