The project was great, the movie is good.
If the move was bad, the project wouldn't have mattered and this wouldn't be a BP contender. Without the project, the movie isn't a BP contender.

I contend the project wasn't even good. The same thing effectively was done with the Harry Potter novels or Fraiser. -- nm

Heck you could say the same for Sons of Anarchy, they were showing some quick scenes from early eps, wow they look so much younger -- nm
