More like the murders happen around people from a knitting store.

I think the first one, the main character's sister is killed, and she inherits a knitting store.
In another, the main clue is an old embroidered handkerchief.
One murder happens at a needlework trade show, another at a knitting retreat.
and so on, and so on....
