It will give you a very good idea of what costs what and about the various qualities and issues of diamonds. I have found buying at a jeweler can sometimes be like dealing with a used car salesman. All of Blue Nile's diamonds are GIA certified so you know what you're dealing with and whether you want to buy there or not you will get educated and know what things cost.
