Cox was gifted 2.75 first ballot HOF pitchers and half a dozen other HOF hitters....

Torre wasn't a successful manager until he got gifted the late 90's Yankees....
LaRussa has also had a series of the greatest generational players for him as well....
it's not like we're talking any of these guys winning with the 1995-2010 Pirates.
