question on car insurance: we were hit - other driver at fault, insurance company asked us to get a quote, says they'll approve it and we can get the

car fixed. thing is, it's just body damage and i really don't care. is it out of line to just straight up ask for the funds to get the car repaired? or will they try to deny the claim for something like that?
