also ask them to pay you out for the loss of use ( rental car)

you don't need a rental car because you aren't going to have it fixed, but they don't know that and it doesn't matter, they still owe you for loss of use of your vehicle while in the shop.
I'd mention you are going to England soon and not sure when you will have time to fix the car but you will.
i promise you they want it off their desk. should not be a big deal from them to issue you a check
