HZ is all about blur in action. So sports, action movies, never go lower than 120hz and bigger shows the flaws more imo -- nm

That relates to the refresh rate. The higher the number, the smoother the motion. More important for sports than a lot of other things. -- nm

One thing to consider is that the new tvs take up a lot less space than the old ones, so I would go with the biggest tv you can fit in the space. The
