IMO, it's gonna die along with the other Sony Spidey films.

There's no way Marvel strikes this deal, and lets Sony make a rival Spider-Man movie.
The only thing I can see happening is if the current Sinister Six and Amazing Spider-Man movies become joint Sony/Marvel projects. I still don't think Marvel is gonna go for that.
