The health code stuff doesn't surprise me in the least. We almost bought expired dairy product off the shelf once. And the one and only cake we ever got from there was stale.

Add to that they've hiked their prices recently (ours is a newer location). We still have North Gate even though it's always packed in there. It's for a good reason, they're the best! And our recently closed Albertson's is turning into a Superior Grocers, which is yet another Latin supermarket.

El Super just has great prices though, as you prolly know. :)
