Andie would be jealous of the luck I'm having lately.

First, my sons both got their yellow belts as most saw on Facebook! I got teary-eyed when Adam was given his. Everything is such a struggle for him, but he never gave up, and passed pretty easily.

Second, my department's Christmas party was Thursday. They always give away really great prizes. Around 25 to 30 gifts ranging from Coach purses to 50" TVs to insane amounts of alcohol to IPads. I had never won anything at this party in 14 years. You can only win one prize from the pool a year, but even if you win one of the big prizes, you're still in line to win the grand prize.

So, every prize but the last goes by, and I didn't win anything. I didn't really expect to, and was happy so many of my friends had won things like the 50" TV, an XBoxOne, Booze, etc..

The last is an IPad Air. They call my name! Boom! Christmas just got way better for my kids. I finally won something!

Before I can even take the IPad out of the box, they pick the name for the grand prize. I hear, "We'll this guy did win something already, but they can still win the grand prize..."

I won again! My channeling Andie got me a $1000! Which makes Christmas even easier to afford this year, and puts Disneyland in play for the summer. Rock on.

I tell my mom about my insane luck, and she also tells me her best friend's brother wants to give away his computer. He's 84 and thinks a mouse is the devil. Why he bought the computer at all, I don't know...but I now have a pretty slick ASUS all-in-one computer for the kids to open up on Christmas.

So, that's a free IPad Air, a free desktop, and $1000 in credit cards won in two days. I'm very thankful right now.
