I saw one of the trending-now twitter items is #shanedawsonsony - a parody of "blank space"

was blocked on YT (he has 6M+ followers there).

everything said it was Sony, but his twitter a little ago says that it was Taylor Swift's management company that requested the takedown, due to violent content.

his videos are mostly meant to be humorous. I've seen a handful, and they mostly weren't for me - gross, sometimes racist, sometimes misogynistic, mock gay, etc. (although I don't think he's really a bad guy in his own life, from what I've seen of him elsewhere - some of his personal vlogs and collabs with some other YTers who're more to my taste).

it's interesting for a Biggie to take on a YT biggie. free speech, right to parody, vs. use of work.
