that's pretty much what I do, with a slant toward "invest what you know" so there are probably more commodity stocks than there should be.

I'm down about 3.5% for the year. oil and iron ore have not been kind, but they're all solid long-term holds, so I'm not overly concerned. all ASX as well, because it just makes the taxes so much easier.
