A year ago today... I was exhausted, nervous, anxious, excited and delirious.

And my beautiful baby boy had entered the world. Both he and my wife needed some hospital care those first few days, so it is bittersweet thinking back.

Today, however, was wonderful. We sang happy birthday numerous times, had cake, and shared the moment with family. Some in person. Some via Skype. And we (I mean my son) have some great new toys. Best of all are the laughs, giggles, and general excitement. And they were equally likely to come from rubbing noses or the wrapping paper as from anything else.
