you could tell...as soon as the kid said, "I'm Ben"...you could tell he's thinking, "Holy fuckin shit...if I get out of here, I can end it all, at that moment."

My guess is that Sawyer and Juliet still have hopes of getting back to real time and the real world, and know that Ben is likely their only option.

I doubt they know that Ben kills them all.
