I originally thought I had to manually redeem them, so the automation helps. But they are easy to forget about.
$1 isn't really much to convince me not to choose 2-day shipping (I normally want my stuff NOW) but last month, a couple of Christmas presents were going to Texas and would beat me there either way. And yesterday's order was TurboTax (Amazon had a discount for Prime members so I ordered now, but I won't need it until at least mid-February when I have all of my forms)
