So religious Iowans will be both starting to pay attention to their civic duty a year from now and won't be slighted by someone politicking during the holidays.

For a long-shot candidate (compared to Sen. Cruz, Sen. Rubio, Sen. Paul, or Gov. Bush), it's a smart move. And I wouldn't doubt if he has volunteers already working Iowa this weekend.
