In response to "So I watched Interstellar. Pretty good. -- nm" by Beryllium

I missed a small chunk of it, though. Maybe you could fill in the blank (spoils)

Just as Dr Mann is rejected from the autopilot docking, I had to duck out for unspeakable reasons.

When I came back, it seemed like that situation had been resolved, but somehow they managed to keep his shuttle.

Brandt and Cooper were navigating the airless damaged section of the main craft (Endeavour, I think? Home base.) and then explaining the plan of how they would slingshot around Gargantua to reach Dr Edmunds' planet.

So that's the gap I missed.

On the flip side, I have to ask: if they had the technology to reboot civilization like that, why couldn't Plan B be duplicated for the moon and mars?

And, additionally, once the data was sent (or even mid-data) why couldn't Cooper send a personal message in morse?
