In response to "I *think* this long-form essay on the Mormon Church, gender, identity, and sexuality pretty accurately addresses all the issues. But I wonder how it" by landbeck

it's certainly very open and inclusive, and does a good job explaining many conditions, but I'm not entirely sure what the takeaway message is.

He does write about the need for the church to be inclusive, and to love those that are different, but what exactly does that mean? I can't really tell if he's advocating for a shift in church policy on things like same-sex marriage, or just a broadly more inclusive and supportive stance.

Also he sort of seems to come at it with the underlying assumption that (to use his term) gender incongruence is a mistake, which I don't really agree with. It tends to lead to the belief that it can be cured, and while he doesn't exactly advocate that, it does feel a little like subtext.
