LYC: Last month, my PCP referred me to an ophthalmologist due to some varying blurring and pain in/around my right eye.

(background: I had Lasik in 2009).
Doctor told me that my eye are very very dry and that I should try using rewetting drops like Systane. He wants to see me again in three months (sooner if things don't improve) and then he may consider plugs (?) in my eye(s) that help the tears to stay on the eyes longer, but he doesn't think I'm there yet.
And then he gave me....a glasses prescription. It's very minor, not one I even need for driving, and I probably won't even fill it, but WTF?
