FWIW, budgeting at any (non-Trump income) is tough IME

We tend to fill our spending/budget to what we make and therefore giving to retirement 'hurts' because it feels like taking way. I can only offer that as long as you are covering your bills and expenses, 10% is good if you can maintain it (Also FWIW, I am giving 10% and wish I was giving more, but my budget ........ etc, etc)
