when really it's an ode to its own ego and self-indulgent need for attention.

"What will get us attention? Oh yeah, let's go after a bad religious movie (or two), how about a wildly successful mediocre movie..."

I'm surprised they didn't put in Fault In Our Stars just to mock the young adult genre.
