I think what's astounding is that if they did plan for and allow it, that they didn't have any response planned.

That seems the kind of thing you have a news conference and response for if you were fairly certain you'd catch them cheating.

Instead it's been well over a week? Maybe they want to see Hoodie hang himself before deciding on a punishment? Catch him in a lie they can refute?

I know it's different governing bodies, but Tressel and the Buckeyes got hammered by the NCAA for rules violations and coverups for things that took place off the field and had no impact on gameplay. But the NFL response to blatant cheating on the field is going to earn the Pats, what? A fine? I'm big on playing by the rules and advocating for rules changes if you don't like them. If you cheat on the field there ought to be hell to pay.
