There was a dude who was hugely popular last year. Rather than have him win, they gave it to Bautista, who was still six months away from his Guardians of the Galaxy ascension. So, fans booed mightily then. Fast forward to now and the dude who won has been out with an injury. Fans have soured on him, because he doesn't have a lot of personal charisma.
Everybody wanted Daniel Bryan to win. He was only in the match 5-10 minutes.
