I deal with car shopping similarly, only I don't even let them try pulling stereotype shenanigans. I politely ask them to not try them, right up front, nip in the bud if attempts are still made, always make it clear I'm not only willing and able to walk away but have no problem calling other dealers right from their premises, etc. I especially can't stand when they are clearly giving me different answers or schtick than they would for a guy or try to give me silly pitches, like the tires.
I don't know if you have the same resources there as we do here, but it's so much better for buyers now than it used to be - truecar, edmonds, etc. power to the people, woo!
(I do also let them know I don't want to cheat them, and that I expect them to make a reasonable profit one way or another.)
