Speaking of memes, I just heard of a story where people got on "teams" depending on whether they thought it was going to be a boy or a girl. Both parents were hoping for a boy, and when the gender was revealed as a girl, the expecting mom started crying and the husband started consoling her.

The party is organized by a trusted friend who learns the gender from the doctor beforehand. And then blue or pink-colored party favors and food are brought out depending on the gender.
