Of the franchises David mentioned, which is top-to-bottom the best?

you have to take into account all entries.
So, if you answer Batman, you have to account for Batman & Robin
I guess I'd say Indiana Jones for me. I really like the Bond series, but there are some really bad ones (all of Brosnan, plus the Live & Let Die era) that set it back enough
