Mine generally:
Book: The Girl on the Train (one of the 1000s of books touted as the next Gone Girl, which is not really accurate or fair. That being said, it's a gripping story that is well written.)
Podcast: NPR's Planet Money always has interesting stories (The stories are only about money in the sense that there is some kind of business/commerce involved. One story was about protection rackets/extort run by thugs in Honduras against bus drivers.)
