I'm calculating that a team gave up 25% less points and yards. One is distinctly better than the other.

You're arguing to the ideal; i'm arguing to the reality.
25% isn't close. It's dominant.
That Seattle gave up less yards would also seem to indicate more points becuase of short fields...that's not the case.
New England gave up more yards, that would seem to indicate a bend but don't break fewer point rang...but that's not the case either.
Seattle doesn't let people move the ball or score. They're better.
