Busways with dedicated lanes, like our Silver and Orange Lines. It's not as sexy/prestigious to the city as rail or subway, but they're much cheaper to build, more flexible and faster to get up and running than rail. I've taken the Silver Line a lot and it's fantastic.

Bus Rapid Transit lanes. Which I am seeing is a relatively new transit idea compared to rail and subway... This video talks about how projects are going in 3 world cities (www.youtube.com)
