It's the American Experience episode about the "Big Burn" and they're using old black and white footage of forest rangers fighting fire.

Did you know...? All this black and white footage has no actual audio track. Up to and including WWII, most archival footage carried no audio and the soundtrack was added via foley studio after the fact.
