In response to "NYT's David Carr has died. -- nm" by nubby

If you have watched Page One, the NYT documentary, I'll suggest you do. Good film, and he's a great 'character' in it.

On of my keenest recollections of the film was how he championed the young Brian Stelter, then at NYT, how hosting CNN's Sunday morning show Reliable Sources. Carr seemed to realize he was of a different generation than Stelter but didn't let that hold him back from learning and understanding.

And Carr was always willing to give his critics a platform. Every week he posted his column and every week he retweeted people with (wise, not trollish) critiques of what he had written in order to feed the conversation.
