i have a standing fan that i was giving away for free on craigslist, because i wanted it out of my house. a girl contacted me last week and said she wanted it. i told her the options for pick up were Friday after 7 or wait till this week. She said she had a class till 8pm Friday night, and she would be there shortly afterwards. At 9:15pm, I texted her to see if she was on her way still, she said her class just ended (right), and could she come Saturday morning. I said, 'no, as i said we are away all weekend. But someone is home all day Monday." She said she'd text on Monday. She didn't. She just texted me now and asked if she could come today at 5. (Um, no, we have jobs.) My coworker just heard the story and was like "I'll take the fan." I give it the coworker, right?

Don't be so hard on yourself. It is fine that you gave her until Monday after she stood you up Friday. -- nm
