Could be....likely isn't. She just isn't a good driver for these cars.

And she's fiery, probably to overcompensate as being the only woman out there.
If she wasn't a woman, she would be just another driver stuck in the 2nd-tier (if that) based on talent. But she's got a huge fanbase and brings in endorsement money (for now) so she gets to play in the major leagues.
