I would imagine if parking is at a premium they will have a tow co keep track of how long spaces are used

in san fran, the big safeway would let you park over night but would put warning notes in the morning and would tow if left all day...but hey, that was nice enough they could have not allowed it at all, or charge an hourly fee
like here in tacoma, some pissant landlord near the bar strip where dawsons and stonegate is stopped allowing free use of their lot after hours, now charge $2 to park for 'events' which is weird cause its not like on street parking is that hard to get
