I actually still have my first gen ipod (10gb). It still works. It's in my office. That's lasted me forever. Their newer products have not been

nearly as durable. Had to replace an ipod touch that was less than a year old and I can't tell you how many phones my wife and kids have had to replace over the last couple of years. To their credit, they replace them without a lot of hassle (for free), but it still means you have to go about resetting everything. Also, both my daughters and my wife have had to replace a macbook that was less than 2 years old.
