So Angie had to have emergency surgery Friday to have her gall bladder out and with her MS it can be very difficult to get her pain under control so she can go home etc. The 3 weeks in the same hospital last year and then a month in PT rehab to get walking again.
So she was in hospital fri and sat night and really needed to be in one more but they sort of forced her out. No one listening to me about her MS and concerns I had and I was trying to fight to keep her in talking to the Admin and suddenly I get a call from her and she said if I didnt come right then they were sticking her in a cab regardless of what we want.
That was just one thing in a series of being ignored, rude nurses, crappy care - 180 degrees from last year.
So today I sent a detail, edited, clear email to the CEO of THR (THR is a huge chain of hospitals), the president of that hospital location, Chief Nursing Officer and Nurse Manager of that location.
Within an hour the CEO emailed me and called me. Told me they would look into it and he would personally update me on the issues we had and was just professional and nice. I know some of it is executive platitude but he engaged and quickly. THAT is pretty cool in todays not give a shit society of CEOs
