f/u from my comments - a positive. the one big thing they have had going for them vs. others is availability of apps and better

quality of them. android is catching-up, but there are still more reliability issues than I have experienced with i products.
(mememe: most disappointing to me is how many things aren't yet available for kindle tablets; and, even if there is availability, how many of them have more issues -- with millions sold, it's dumb and frustrating.)
(kind of related: max asked on a bb what to do with a tablet. ~2 years ago, I switched to pretty much exclusive tablets use for home; so it's more of a "what can't you do?" thing for me.)
