the creepy old man thing is overplayed IMO. You do not look as old as you are IMO.

I do find it is way easier to be a defensive flirter than the other way around. If they initiate it, it lets you off the hook somewhat. Throw it out there, see what sticks.

You really do need to get out of your own head a bit.
