wouldn't it be terrifying (well, *cosmically terrifying*) if we discovered octopi-like creatures that resemble Cthulhu? . . . and more frighteningly..

that HP Lovecraft really *was* onto something, that maybe somehow he knew about the Elder Gods, and that their home base is on one of these distant worlds just waiting for the right moment to strike?
