Sometimes. Buit the tone of the cover couldn't be further from the tone of the book and was driven by the Marketing team/$$ not "artistic freedom" -- nm

Sure. It's a common practice and I have no issue with publishers doing it. But the covers should work with the tone of the content they surround. -- nm
