It's still trying to appeal to the narrow, existing audience and not the broader audience hoping for content that isn't insulting or degrading toward women.
The issue isn't that games are made to target that narrow audience, it's that there are precious few games being made that appeal to that wider audience.
The list of games that don't trade on misogyny and stereotypes of women and minorities is distressingly short.
We aren't calling to have their games taken from them, we're asking to have games made that aren't off-putting in their depictions of women and minorities because that's the type of game we want to play.
