That Roman nose isn't ubiquitous throughout Italy. Dark hair and eyes aren't either. The more northern Italians are blonde with blue eyes.

The Italians you know with the dark and hair and eyes come from southern Italy and Sicily. A lot of the gangsters are Sicilian.
The big nose is hit and miss but in my family it's a miss. We have normal noses but all have dark hair and eyes.
