You have no idea how angry some of my friends got when watching that scene. I laughed so hard!

My family comes from southern Italy but we're not Sicilian. My grandmother hated Sicilians and called them melanzanas or eggplants.
My friends refused to believe that story in the movie was true. I just laughed and laughed.
