it annoys me to no end when someone says something like "Metallica are in massive debt . . ."
no, Metallica aren't. Metallica IS in massive debt. "the bad" is singular. now, the members *are* in massive debt, maybe, . . .
it just annoys the piss out of me when people don't step back for a moment and look at the nouns that their verbs are connected to . . .
