The basis of the game is a series of popular videogames and pop culture bits of trivia from the 1980s (and maybe the early 90s?). Whoever wins the game becomes the owner of what is basically Apple*Google. The game is so difficult to decipher that nobody even gets past the first puzzle until one dirt-poor kid figures out something nobody else ever has. Then, him and a bunch of internet friends, one of whom is a girl that he likes, start working together to solve it before an evil corporation can.
The joy is in turning a World of Warcraft type of premise into a celebration of the early days of videogames.
