Maybe have "It's a republic and not every state is going to always do things that I like all the time" thrown in there

I'm way into politics and all, but I think it's a huge waste to care so much what other states do. Sometimes people choose their home based on its general attitude on the issues. To then get angry when its government acts accordingly is silly.
