I have mentioned this before, but a reminder: the company that handles CooperVision's rebate gift cards is evil and money-grubbing. use your cards

as soon as possible after you receive them, because they will do any and everything to start devaluing them as soon as they can.
today's addition: the replacement card I received, for a $6.95 fee, because they were slimymcslimeyshady about the expiration on the original? the date on it isn't really the expiration date, it's 6 months after the date of the original card (which is nowhere in the paperwork for the new card or on it); and there is no 6 month period of non-use before monthly fees kick-in, because that wait doesn't apply to replacement cards. where is that written? on the paper underneath where the card is adhered.
also, they didn't take the fee out of the original card, they took it out of the new one!
wth?
they are subverting the intent of california's law. I am going to do my best to publicly shame them, at the very least. ugh.
(I am not calling this time, because my last go-'round with them made me livid; and I expect nothing has changed, because there was no reason for it to. they are trained to be as crappy as possible. grrr.)
